I ordered this a couple years ago as I work on computers all day long and often end up with a tense neck at the end of the day. I am an average person with the average sized neck. It seemed like the "fingers" were too small and since they're in sync had the high potential to pinch the crap out of my neck when they met in the center. I also found the sound of the machine while operating to be distracting during use, and because I was so concerned about the pinching I didn't fully relax enough for it to work. Maybe I shouldn't relax that much it could really get a good grab of the skin on the back of your neck! -- Better than nothing, but not very recommendable.

Just in case a piece of gear could ever approximate fingers, or deep tissue massage, and at the price, it was worth a try. This thing is just amazing.
I am a big person, 6' 4" at 260 pounds - and it just churns away without any struggle, grinding or whining, nothing to indicate it's having any trouble with my neck.
My wife and daughter can't use it. It doesn't "get" their necks.
But for me, it's a treasure and here's why.
You can set it to massage DOWN your neck, or UP your neck.
When you have it working UP your neck, you can turn if OFF right at the point where it's pulling up on your neck "just right" for a little traction - and the two "fingers" just hold your head there - - ahhhh relieving distraction of compressed cervical (neck) vertebrae.
Or you can just lay there and it will churn up or down your neck and you will not want to get up. So don't.
Finally, you should know that if you don't lay straight, and or if your neck isn't straight in it, (and this is only sort of funny) when it's churning UP your neck it bobbles your head side to side a little. So patience to get your head in there straight and it doesn't bobble your head.
VERY comfortable, very effective, strong on big necks, but NOT for little necks.

this is a super great product that does a wonderful job.......both of us use it primarly for the lower back but after reading the "with Head-Rest" in the discription, found it a great malti-functional device, so we bought 2. -- MASSAGER

I really enjoy this product. It is great for getting out the tension, however, you may have to put a pillow on top of the kneading knobs because they are kinda hard. -- Great for knocking out the kinks

This was great while it lasted, but I have Fibromyalgia and tight muscles so I need a deep, hard massage and this machine didn't withstand that kind of pressure for too long before it broke. The arms on the roller were made of some kind of plastic and just broke. -- Was good while it lasted
